Dealer-FX (a subsidiary of Snap-On) builds software that helps car dealerships manage appointments and repairs for vehicles all over the world. At present, their software is installed in more than 4,000 dealerships and they have a development team consisting of ~50 engineers.

Starting in early 2024, XP Venture Labs was brought in to help the DFX team scale their data engineering and business intelligence platform. After initial success with these efforts, our team quickly proved our value to the company and the engagement was expanded to include Product Managers, Product Designers, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, and Database Developers across all aspects of the business.
Results
Together, Dealer-FX and XP Venture Labs have collaborated to completely revolutionize the approach to CI/CD, Automated Testing, Data Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design. We continue to hit on all 2024 targets and deliverables and are a continued success story for company in 2024 and into 2025.

Vero
Vero Technologies is a New York based tech company that aims to change the status quo for apartment leasing by making leasing accessible at the click of a button. Their software is in use in nearly every major US city and is continually growing to add more and more units to their ever-expanding portfolio.
Key Initiatives
Starting in Q4 of 2023 - XP Venture Labs was hired to help deliver on several time-sensitive, key features of Vero’s primary application platform as well implement a new data intelligence infrastructure from the ground up that was required to provide novel insights into business performance ahead of imminent increased scaling for the company as a whole, after the hiring of severl large-scale clients..
Results
After the initial engagement, the XP Venture Labs team members quickly augmented core Vero Technologies development teams and were able to start delivering features quickly and efficiently while integrating with existing developers seamlessly. XP data engineering teams were able to build new data pipelines and deliver fresh performance insights reports that helped secure funding and helped to define 2024 deliverables for the entire company.

BeniPlus
Beniplus provides a cost effective benefits program for employees that is designed to be simple, affordable, and flexible enough to adapt to both small and large businesses. Beniplus gives companies full control over how they fund and reimburse employees when claiming benefits like eyeglasses, dental coverage, or extended medical.
Key Initiatives
In Q2 2024, Beniplus approached XP to see if we could provide a better alternative to the bank provider they were presently using for handling payments both into and out of their end-user benefit accounts. Their current provider was becoming increasingly costly and was rapidly making it untenable to continue for their business.
Results
Together with the Beniplus team, we we worked out a custom process for payments using our MSB license, and we built out an end-to-end system for facilitating credits and debits to benefit accounts across the whole organization. Now, 100% of transactions run through our payment platform for Beniplus and they are saving nearly 20% a month in costs.

SickKids Research
The Toronto Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), is a world-renowned pediatric healthcare institution. It specializes in the treatment, care, and research of complex and rare childhood diseases. The hospital is recognized for its leadership in pediatric medicine, contributing to advancements in genetics, cancer treatments, and patient care through its integrated approach to clinical care and research.
Key Initiatives
In 2023/24, XP Venture Labs has helped to augment some of the research teams at SickKids in order to provide support for projects and initiatives that were understaffed or lacking specific knowledge required to implement. XP performed an assessment of work requirements, and added several key persons to improve the overall abilities of the associated research teams.
Results
Together with XP, several major data engineering and machine learning projects were able to push through their roadblocks and deliver publications that were used to drive additional funding through grants for multiple teams. In addition, we performed a full migration of application infrastructure from local sources to the cloud, while implementing a complete Agile based CICD pipeline based approach to software delivery. We continue to work closely with the team at SickKids around ongoing initiatives with continued success.

ASAPP Financial
Technology
ASAPP Financial Technology is a banking platform that helps bridge the gap between customers and banks/credit unions. Their online application streamlines everything from new account creation to lending approval. It allows financial institutions to be more efficient while expanding their relationship with customers.
Key Initiatives
In 2023/24, ASAPP decided to undertake a conversion from largely manual testing into fully automated testing of new source code introduced into their application. Lacking the required expertise to do so, their team reached out to XP Venture Labs to request our Quality Assurance team’s help in facilitating the transition.
Results
Since the initial kickoff, XP has managed to nearly fully automate 100% of the testing required for their platform. This has significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to deploy new features into production across their entire application stack and has drastically reduced the number of hotfixes and broken deployments across their entire application stack.

MoonHi
MoonHi is a Costa Rican company who’s primary focus is in the iGaming space. They run a successful online casino that allows for gambling in both fiat currency and crypto currencies. In addition, they have a substantial suite of back-end applications used to maintain customer relationships and promote the casino games both online and offline.
Key Initiatives
In 2024, the MoonHi team had a very short window to launch their iGaming platform globally. The existing development team was quite junior and major bugs and missing features were slowing down development significantly. MoonHi contracted XP Venture Labs in order to improve development processes and re-align the entire team to committed deadlines.
Results
A small team from XP Venture Labs were brought in to support product management, software development, devops, and quality assurance. Our team took over lead in all 4 of these roles and successfully implemented proper agile practices and re-established key milestones for deliverables allowing the team to launch on time despite months of delays prior to XP joining the project.
